Sunshine and summer wishes from the Parish Council! Our Summer 2026 quarterly newsletter is now available to read and download below.

Go-Too expands across Cheshire East

Following the success of its pilot scheme, the Go-Too on-demand bus service is expanding across Cheshire East from August 2026, replacing the existing FlexiLink service.

  • The new service covers all of Cheshire East across four operating zones.
  • It is available to residents where there is no suitable alternative public transport.
  • It operates Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 2.30pm and 4.30pm to 9.00pm, and on Saturday, 9.00am to 6.00pm.
  • A journey costs £4 (16 and over) and £2 for under 16s, with free travel for concessionary bus pass holders.

For more information, email support@go-too.co.uk or call 0300 123 5103.

Speed Watch

On 15th July, local volunteers joined other speedwatch groups across the UK in a day of action. Despite a road closure on the A525, in a little over 30 minutes 29 vehicles were recorded travelling through Burleydam village, with speeds varying from 36 to 59mph. The volunteers will continue to be active throughout the summer months. Drivers exceeding the limit receive a written warning, and repeat offenders living locally will also receive a visit from an officer to discuss the dangers of speeding.

Fancy a game of padel?

Combermere Abbey has opened a new enterprise, Park View Padel, at the Park View Business Centre. It has two purpose-built indoor courts, as well as pool and table tennis, showers, refreshments and free parking. It welcomes everyone from complete beginners to experienced players. Courts are open from 6am to 10pm, seven days a week, and are bookable through the Playtomic app.

The Living Well Bus

The parish will be welcoming back the Living Well Bus in the autumn, offering a flu and Covid vaccinations clinic as well as full health checks for parish residents. Full details will follow in the autumn newsletter.
