Summer Newsletter 2025: Join the Parish Council and extra support for households
Our Summer 2025 quarterly newsletter is now available to read and download below.
Come and join us
We have recently had two resignations from the Parish Council, as Councillors Clive Pownall and Tony Nakhimoff have moved out of the parish. They will be sorely missed for their contributions, including the Safer Roads campaign and the production of this newsletter.
We are now looking for two positive, enthusiastic and capable people to join us. You do not need any previous experience of public service or local government, and you do not have to be connected to a political party. All you have to be is over 18, a British citizen, and live or work in the parish. Training and support are available through the Cheshire Association of Local Councils. If you think you have something to offer, please contact the Parish Clerk.
Extra support for households
The Parish Council has access to two special funds which can be used to help people living in the parish, for example to buy aids that support someone with mobility problems, or to help with education, health or employment costs. We know it can be difficult to ask for support, so we want to make the process as easy as possible. Just contact the Parish Clerk, and all requests will be treated completely confidentially.
